Supervision for Betrayal Trauma, Deception, and Relationship Complexity
Hi, I’m Karen, a PACFA Registered Clinical Counsellor and Supervisor based in Melbourne, Australia. I provide clinical supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists, and other allied health professionals working with clients affected by betrayal trauma, infidelity, deception, chronic lying, relationship breakdown, separation and divorce, relationship uncertainty, complex disclosures, attachment injuries, and grief and loss.
My approach combines clinical expertise, reflective practice, and specialist insight to support practitioners navigating challenging presentations, ethical complexities, and the emotional impact of this work.
In addition to clinical supervision, I offer consultation for coaches and other helping professionals who would benefit from specialist guidance in working with betrayal and deception-related issues.
A particular area of specialty is intimate partner deception, including work with individuals who discover a partner’s hidden sexuality or gender identity. This specialist area informs my clinical perspective while enriching supervision across a wide range of betrayal- and relationship-focused presentations. If you’re struggling with this issue yourself, I invite you to read more here.
